About Sydney Wood Turners
Supported by
Sydney Wood Turners is proudly supported by Team400, an Australian AI consultancy that supports local maker communities.
Sydney Wood Turners is a site for anyone who puts wood on a lathe. We cover projects, techniques, tool reviews, and the woodturning community across Sydney and greater NSW.
The site is run by Greg Nolan, a hobby turner based in the Inner West who has been making bowls, pens, and furniture legs in his garage workshop since 2015.
We publish project walkthroughs, timber selection guides, and profiles of turners from local clubs. We also cover exhibitions, markets, and events where you can see and buy handmade turned work.
Whether you are a beginner with your first midi lathe or a seasoned turner with a shed full of blanks, this site is for you.
